My Mom is so NICEOne fine day, my mom suddenly messaged me.
Mom: 'Baby (yes, don't puke at the fact that my mom calls me using such a mushy term), where are you?'
Gab: 'I'm working now. Why?'
Mom: 'Your birthday is coming, what do you want for your birthday? $ or present?'
Gab: 'If I choose present, is it that whatever I ask you will give me?'
Mom: 'You just choose what you like and I'll give. You are my loving sweet heart (ya, I know, I feel like puking too).'
Gab: 'I want a guitar.'
Mom: 'I've to think twice because I hate you buying a guitar. Guitar is not for ladies. It is for guys.'
Gab: 'Bullshit. Nowadays a lot of girls are also playing guitar. Furthermore, you were the one who said that you will give whatever that I asked. You are always bluffing me.'
Mom: 'Can you choose other thing instead of guitar? My baby!'
Gab: 'Ok. If you don't want to buy me guitar, you can pay for my guitar lessons. I can buy the guitar myself. If you don't want to pay for the lessons either then I will stick back to wanting a guitar. Choose either.'
Mom: *no reply. Came home and debate with Gab about the issue.*
In the end I guess she still won't buy it for me. She even suggested buying me a leather wallet or bag when I have no need for it at all. Furthermore, a guitar cost less than a leather wallet and bag la. I just don't get why she is so anti-guitar. Geez. And they say that you should trust your mother. Trust my foot.

Love; It can make you smile for the rest of your life, but it can also make you cry for the rest of your life.
Yet why are we always taking the risk, and even plunge further into the river of love when we know we are going to drown in sorrow?
Maybe that's the power of love: I will be contented, even with two hours of tears alone, just for that one second of kiss with you.
The power of love: So strong that you wonder hopelessly what had happened to you
Above are some of the quotes in the book " To Forget You", written by local novelist Low Kay Hwa. "To Forget You" is his latest book and also the 1st book of his that I read. It's really a very romantic novel. Furthermore, it is written with local style, so as a Singaporean reading it, it touches my heart even more. Kind of reminds me of korean drama, just that the settings and plots are in Singapore.
But I dislike the ending cause it is those kind of no definite ending with sad elements, making people feel that there will be no happily ever after. The ending does not say definitely whether the main lead died or not, I would like to think that he didn't and that there was a happily ever after. It is really a very touching novel (though I didn't cry), really worth to read. After all, it is not a thick book, so you don't have to spend much time finishing the book. Just go read it and you will know what I meant.
You know what is the funny part? I used to think that Low Kay Hwa is a female. Turned out that he is guy. Lol. Hence I think he damn pro, can write in such a way that females readers sure gets very touched.
I've the motivations, but it is not pushing me any further.
